Baptism and Church Membership Discussion

As we were unable to respond to all the submitted questions regarding our Constitution at our Members Meeting last month, we are setting aside time to answer most of the remaining questions which revolve around baptism and church membership and have a dialogue on this topic with members who are more interested.

In this polity change we are going through as a church, we want to make sure to have multiple opportunities to work through our own biblical convictions, ask questions, and come to decisions together as a whole church.

This discussion is for members only and related reference materials have been sent over our members’ group. If you are interested to join and/or have further questions about baptism and church membership.

Note: this discussion will take place over Zoom and the link to join will be given only after you have signed up.

Sunday Celebration

Sunday Celebration is HMCC’s weekend gathering where everyone in the church comes together to worship God and celebrate His work in our lives. All are welcome!

We are transitioning to 100% in-person Sunday Celebration!

Throughout this pandemic, we have reminded one another that our virtual or hybrid gathering as a local church and taking the Lord’s Supper in such a way is not the norm, but a concession or accommodation that we’ve made during these exceptional times.

With COVID-19 cases remaining low, the government decreasing restrictions to PPKM Level 1, and members being more open to attend in-person gatherings given appropriate health precautions, we are moving back towards the understanding and practice of the gathered church being the physically assembled members.

So, we’ll be resuming to a 100% in-person Sunday Celebration without any Zoom livestream.

In-person Building Blocks

Throughout the pandemic, our Building Blocks teachers have been teaching and connecting with children over Zoom. While that has been wonderful, it is not the norm for our Building Blocks ministry to be conducted this way.

As we transition into a 100% in-person Sunday Celebration gathering without a livestream, we are excited to also announce that Building Blocks will also be resuming in-person children’s ministry on Sunday June 12! With proper safety precautions in place, teachers and children can now interact with each other face to face and learn more about Jesus and the Gospel.

Unlike our Zoom Building Blocks which starts at 11:30 AM on Sundays, in-person Building Blocks takes place during Sunday Celebration, 3pm at Lotte Avenue.
